What conditions do you cover? Where can I find information about ___?
On the left side of our home page, you’ll find a list of subjects and subspecialties that we cover. Of course, some podcasts don’t fit neatly into just one category, and some terms go by many names. The easiest way to check whether we have information about something specific is to enter what you’re looking for in the search box in the upper right corner of the page. You can also read through our complete list of podcasts here. Keep in mind that we’re constantly adding new podcasts, so if you can’t find information about a specific condition, please check back soon.
I can’t find information about ____. Will you be adding it soon?
You can keep up with our latest additions by “liking” our Facebook page, or by subscribing to our RSS feed. You can also check back for the latest podcasts on our homepage. If you’d like to suggest a new topic, send an email to admin@smartermedicalcare.org.
How do I listen to a podcast?
When you navigate to a podcast page, you should see an audio player that looks something like this:

Podcast audio player
If you select the right arrow, the podcast will begin playing.
If the audio player looks something like this, that means the podcast is already playing:

If you can’t hear the podcast, check that the volume on your computer is turned up loud enough.
If you do not see the audio player on an episode page, that may mean that you do not have Flash installed. On older computers, Smarter Medical Care podcasts can only be played on the website if you have Flash installed. If you are using your own computer, you can download and install Flash here. If you care using a public computer that does not have Flash installed, you can still listen to the podcast by clicking the “download” button.
How can I download the audio file?
If you’d like to save a podcast to your computer, you can do so by clicking the “download” link below the episode title:

The link to download and save the podcast can be found beneath the title.
Please note that many browsers are configured to play rather than save audio files. If your browser plays the file, you can still save it to your computer by clicking “File -> Save” or “File -> Save As” from the browser menu and then selecting where to keep the file. Alternatively, you can right click (or Control + click on an Apple) on the “download” link and select “Save Link As” or “Save Linked File As.”
